Alaska is full of beautiful scenic areas that are outstanding locations for nature, landscape and wildlife photographers. Every year on Roy Toft's Alaska photo tours, our guests have an amazing opportunity to get exceptionally close to the eagles and bears. This is a photo tour you will always remember!
Led by Roy Toft and Chuck Keim, his trusted Alaskan operator of the boat Coastal Explorer I from Coastal Outfitters, our Alaskan photo tour provides guests the opportunity to photograph Alaskan brown bears catching and eating Salmon, and nesting bald eagles. In addition, our week should provide us with many chances to photograph the majestic Alaskan bald eagles and bears clamming along the beautiful Katmai harbor and coastline complete with spectacular wild flowers in bloom. From our excursion boat, Coastal Explorer I, you will also be able to photograph sea otters, Stellar sea lions and a wide assortment of native Alaska birds.
2014 - Alaska Photo Tours
August 13-21st - 2014
August 13 - Arrive in Anchorage, Alaska and stay overnight (included).
August 14 - Fly to Kodiak Island and stay overnight (included).
August 15 - Fly via float plane in the morning to the Katmai coast to catch our excursion boat, the Coastal Explorer I.
August 15-21 - Spend 6 days cruising the beautiful Alaskan Katmai coast and harbors. There will be daily excursions to land to photograph bears and nesting bald eagles. Additionally, there will also be a chance to fish for Halibut and Salmon.
August 21 - Alaska photo tour ends. Fly via float plane back to the Kodiak Island and return to Anchorage in the evening.
INCLUDED: hotel stay in Anchorage on August 13th and Kodiak Island on August 14th (dinner is not included), Float plane flight R/T from Kodiak to the Katmai coast, 6 days meals, and daily excursions on the Coastal Explorer I.
EXCLUDED: round-trip flight to Anchorage from home city, round-trip flight to Kodiak from Anchorage, dinner on August 13th, and all meals on August 14th.
